We can empower homeowners to maximize their property potential through streamlined Additional Dwelling Unit (ADU) construction and simplified lot subdivision processes, reducing bureaucratic barriers with pre-approved designs, expedited permitting, and clear approval timelines. This approach preserves Murray's neighborhood character by adding housing within existing communities rather than requiring tall apartment buildings. By leveraging existing infrastructure and running government efficiently, we keep municipal costs and taxes low while creating more affordable housing options that reduce overall living costs for families.
Keeping Our Children Safe
I'm committed to aggressively addressing speeding in residential neighborhoods and school zones through enhanced enforcement and traffic calming measures, increasing street lighting where children walk and bike, and improving crosswalks with better signage and signals at key intersections near schools and parks. I will ensure our police, fire, and emergency medical services have the funding, equipment, and staffing needed to respond quickly to any situation. These measures will create a Murray where every parent feels confident their child can walk to school, play outside, and move safely through our community.
